“Alexa…”
Wakes up the system and
must be said before any
command.
Example
NOTE:
After saying her name, wait one second before saying the command.
“Alexa, call for help!”
Initiates voices-activated
emergency help.
Example
NOTE:
You can test this command! When an agent responds, tell him or her that you are only testing. If you do not tell the agent that this is only a test, emergency services will be on their way!
“Alexa, call…”
[a name or phone number]
Initiates hands-free phone calls to saved contacts and phone numbers.
Example
NOTE:
If names aren’t being recognized, call us at 855-488-1081. To end a call at any time, say “Alexa, stop.”
“Alexa, play…”
Initiates voice-activated music, games, and other media.
Example
NOTE:
You can play music by artist or by genre.
“Alexa, remind me to…”
Reminds you of tasks and appointments.
Example
NOTE:
Reminders may set daily, hourly, weekly, monthly, or annually—there’s no limit.
“Alexa, cancel reminder.”
Cancel announced reminders to keep them from recurring.

NOTE:
Cancel reminders anytime. Just specify which reminder to cancel, or cancel or all set reminders.
“Alexa, chat.”
Begins a chat after the introduction.

NOTE:
Alexa asks questions to find areas of interest to chat about.
“Alexa, stop.”
One of the most important commands, it stops an action.

NOTE:
You can stop music playing, chats, and other Alexa actions with this simple command. If you do not use it to hang up a phone call, you are still on the line!
